Three more Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops in IOK
SRINAGAR (Web Desk) – Indian troops on Tuesday killed at least three Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district of the valley.
Charred bodies of two martyred youth were recovered from the debris of two residential houses destroyed by the troops while using chemical substance during a crackdown operation in Hakripora area of the district.
One more youth was killed and dozens were injured after Indian forces’ personnel fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on protesters in Kakapora, Newa and Hakripora areas in the district. The martyred youth has been identified as Firdous Ahmad Khan. According to doctors, he was hit by bullet in his chest. At least 15 injured persons were referred to hospitals in Pulwama and Srinagar.
The killing led to clashes between students and Indian troops in Srinagar and Kupwara and Kulgam districts. At least 33 Kashmiris including two young boys and a woman have been martyred by Indian forces during the month of July.
According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, three of those martyred were killed in a fake encounter.
The killings rendered three women widowed and six children orphaned.
During the month, 565 people were critically injured when Indian police and paramilitary personnel used brute force and fired pallets and teargas shells against mourners and peaceful demonstrators in the occupied territory while 450 people including Hurriyet leaders, activists and youth were arrested.
The troops molested or disgraced at least 24 women and destroyed and damaged 77 houses during the period.
