National hockey group for Asia Cup to be declared one month from now

ISLAMABAD (City News) – The national hockey group for Asia Cup booked to be held in Bangladesh from October 12 would be reported one month from now.
As per Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Sr. The Asia Cup would proceed till October 22.
“Asia Cup will demonstrate an incredible open door for players to get ready for the following year’s Hockey World Cup,” he said and included best performing players in Asia Cup would be shortlisted.
He said 18 players would be chosen for the Asia Cup.
“Other than Pakistan groups of Bangladesh, India, China, South Korea, Japan, Oman and Malaysia would be taking part in the occasion,” he said.
Talking about the following year’s Hockey World Cup planned to be held in India from November 28 to December 16, he said a group having mix of seniors and youths would be shaped for the World Cup.
