ISLAMABAD (City News) – Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has said that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar should have not used words like ‘requester’ for PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Talking to media outside the accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said he will talk to the premier that he can ask explanation from CJP over his remarks regarding the meeting. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will continue to discuss constitution and law.
Ex-PM said sanctity of vote should be held esteem at all costs as it has never been respected in the country. Today, my narrative is gaining tract and everyone is talking about the respect of the vote, he added.
He further suggested that every institution should work in its ambit.
He had also termed himself and his party’s administration as the target of the inspections of hospitals and colleges by the CJP.
Nawaz Sharif had criticized Nisar’s visits to hospitals, saying that it amounts to trespassing on the authority of the executive. He said that the role of the executive has been transferred to others. He termed the visit to Sharif Medical City by the CJP as an attempt to target them.
Earlier today, Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that he did not lose anything from his last meeting with PM Abbasi but instead achieved from it.
In a conversation with senior lawyer Latif Khosa, the CJP maintained, “He came to my residence to tell me his reservations but gave me nothing. My responsibility is to listen to the agonies of requester, he added.
