MQM calls for revision of 18th Amendment
KARACHI – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) yet again demanded a revision of the 18th Amendment owing to the situation arising due to rain in Karachi.
Senior Deputy Convener of Central Coordination Committee Amir Khan addressing a press conference said that MQM representatives were present on the roads in rain whereas legitimate rights are being snatched through the 18th Amendment.
MQM leader Faisal Subzwari expressed that settlements or colonies were established where the rivers and streams flow. “Courts should also give order to establish Karachi as orders were given to abolish it by establishing settlements there”, he added.
At the press conference, MQM Sindh lawmaker Kunwar Naveed Jamil asserted that the families of the dead should go to the courts where MQM will provide full legal support to them
