LAHORE (City News) – Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has condemned the comments made about discrimination regarding players from the minority in the Pakistan team, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

Mohammad Yousuf said in his tweet, “I have been a member of the team & I’ve always had a lot of love & support from the team, the management & the fans! Pakistan Zindabad”

Let it be known that Mohammad Yousuf was a Christian and had embraced Islam in 2005. He said he grew up in a Muslim-majority neighborhood and used to visit their homes as well.

It is pertinent here to mention that a controversy erupted after Shoaib Akhtar said in a TV program that leg-spinner Danish Kaneria face discrimination in Pakistan team.

Former spinner Iqbal Qasim and opening batsman Mohsin Hasan Khan remarked that it was unfair if Danish Kaaneria was treated in such manner.
