Faisalabad (Web Desk) – Thousands of employees lose jobs due to closure of industries in Faisalabad. Government indeed failed to provide necessary assistance to laborers which has forced them to starve.
Fear of coronavirus has caused businessmen to shut their organizations. Markets, shopping centres and other trading hubs in Faisalabad are closed just like other districts of Punjab, reports Abdul Basit.
Daily-wagers are the most affected segment of society. Closure of power looms has made them unable to earn two-time bread for their families.
When talking to laborers, they said government’s relief package is nothing but useless for them. Government should provide relief. They further said seemingly we are highly likely be saved from Coronavirus but not from poverty and destitution
