Health budget will be reviewed monthly: Punjab Finance Minister
LAHORE (City News) – Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht has said that coronavirus has adversely affected the economy and health budget will be reviewed on monthly basis amid the pandemic.
Hashim Jawan Bakht, while addressing a post-budget press conference, said that provincial government has allocated Rs106 billion for fighting the coronavirus. He added that this is a difficult time for the economy and healthcare system, but hopefully we will get out of this uncertainty soon.
Punjab Finance Minister said that tax on small guest houses, banquet halls and hotels has been reduced from 16% to 5%.
While criticizing PML-N’s Orange Line Project, he said that previous government collected Rs9 billion from 110 million residents of Punjab for a train for only 27km long route.
