Joint strategy needed to counter COVID-19, PM addresses International Labour Organization

ISLAMABAD (City News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan delivered a keynote address at a special session of the International Labour Organization and stressed that we need a joint strategy to overcome the COVID-19 outbreak, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
The premier said, “Future is very uncertain and we don’t know how long this pandemic will impact economy. This uncertainty will continue till coronavirus vaccination comes.
“The most vulnerable section of our society is labour class. This forum is very important to share ideas for protection of labourers. Small and medium industries are most vulnerable, that’s why we need a strategy.
“A joint strategy is required to convince countries, where our labourers are working, to soften impact on them and to be sympathetic despite these tough circumstances as these workers send remittances to their families.”
