It has been learnt that the government is not giving additional holidays this time to stop people from unnecessary travelling. Eid-ul-Azha is likely to fall on Friday and public holidays will be given from Friday to Sunday.
It is pertinent here to mention that the government had announced six holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr, from May 22 to May 27.
On the other hand, the Punjab government has decided to release salaries on July 27 and a notification by the provincial finance department has been issued in this regard.
