Web series ‘Churails’ accused of plagiarism

(City News) – Pakistani film director Asim Abbasi’s web series ‘Churails’ has been accused of plagiarizing illustration by French illustrator, Malika Favre in its opening clippings.
The similarity was spotted by a social-media user who wrote, “Half a minute into the web series #Churails and I spot some blatant plagiarism in the opening credits. Malika Favre’s powerful illustration has been quite conveniently ripped off.”
The illustrator also replied on the tweet and posted, “Oh god, that is bad! Thanks for sharing. Will look into it.”
The story of Churails revolves around four women from different walks of life who come together to open a detective agency to expose cheating of the husbands.
