LAHORE (City News) – Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said the approach that give sanctity to vote but let the voter die from coronavirus is our dual standard.

Sheikh Rashid took to Twitter on Saturday and, while targeting the opposition leaders, said they do not care even if COVID-19 shakes foundations of the country because their own children and relatives are abroad.

The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief said they want child of the poor for sacrifice.

It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan has reported 42 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 371,508. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 7,603.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 2,843 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
