NADRA: Online procedure of weapons registration, renewal halted across Punjab

LAHORE (City News) – The National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) online procedure of registration and renewal of weapons is halted across Punjab.
Sources privy to the matter have informed that the process of verification of over 22,000 weapons in Punjab – including cities of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Multan and Faisalabad – could not be completed.
It has been learnt that verification of the weapons could not be completed due to problems in the NADRA’s online system. District officers have told that over 9,000 cases from different cities are pending.
The Punjab Home Department has directed the NADRA to immediately rectify the system.
