KARACHI (City News) – The Supreme Court directed on Wednesday the Commissioner Karachi to remove encroachments from all land of Kidney Hill Park within two weeks.

An apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, directed the concerned authorities to issue eviction notices to residents of the encroachments before demolitions and submit progress report to the court.

The court while ordering to demolish homes constructed by a housing society on the encroached land, warned that a contempt of court notice will be issued in case of non-seriousness.

On the other hand, the court while hearing a case about tempering in land record, ordered concerned officials to place on record a report showing details of government land under encroachment and that retrieved from land-grabbers.
